Tamara Ward is a staff writer at a local newspaper and regional website covering state and local government, and politics in a rural/suburban area outside of Washington, D.C.
Tamara has served as a photojournalist covering military news in the nation's capital, as well as covered politics and ethnic/religious affairs for Capital News Service (CNS) 's television program Maryland Newsline.
In addition, Tamara has well over 10 years experience as a freelance journalist and on-air talent in sports, community news and corporate videos, as well as commercial voice-overs. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Both from the University of Maryland in College Park.
